Four Year Strong, one of my favourite pop punk bands for a few years now, have released their third album a few months ago. Just after hearing one song on their first record, I realised this band had potential to become big. Their first album “Rise Or Die Trying” was filled with great pop punk … Continue reading
It has been a while since the world heard something from Evanescence. To be honest I thought they had quit. After five years they are back with a new record. Their previous albums had great hits such as “Bring Me To Life”, the beautiful rock ballad “My Immortal”, one of my all time favourites, and “Going Under.” They’ve been a pleasure for my ears for years and I’m curious to hear some new tracks. So there’s only one question to be answered. Is this band back and ready to blow the fans away, or does this new record sound bland? Continue reading
Katy B, the twenty-two year old English singer has been around for quite some time now, but it’s only been a couple of months she’s getting worldwide recognition. In the past they’ve had big hits such as Clocks, Yellow, Speed Of Sound and of course, Viva La Vida. And the list isn’t stopping there. So what’s this new, always weird titled, album like? Continue reading
Close your eyes – an Abilene, Texas-based hardcore punk band just released their sophomore album called Empty hands and heavy hearts a week ago. It’s their second album in two years. Their first album We Will Overcome was released in 2010 at Victory Records . This CD was a straight punch in the face. My hopes were high for this new one. With that being said I picked up a copy at the record store and gave it a spin. Does this record fulfil my expectations or is it just an average release in the punk/hardcore scene? Continue reading
